Hi, I’m Danielle.
I know this path because I've walked it myself.
In 2020, I received the news that changed everything. I tested positive for the BRCA2 gene. I sat with that diagnosis, turned it over in my mind, and tried to figure out what it meant for my life, my body, and my future. Like so many women, I felt alone in it. I didn't know where to turn, who to talk to, or how to make sense of the impossible decisions in front of me.
In the years that followed, I made the deeply personal choice to have preventative surgeries. And with those surgeries came something I wasn't fully prepared for: surgical menopause. Sudden. Intense. Disorienting. The kind of menopause that doesn't ease in gradually but arrives all at once, reshaping your body, your emotions, your sleep, your sense of self.
I was a therapist. I had the training, the tools, the clinical knowledge. And still, it was one of the hardest things I have ever navigated.
That experience is why Menopause Hope exists.
I created Menopause Hope to support women facing some of the most emotionally complex medical decisions of their lives. My work combines professional counseling experience with lived understanding of the challenges women face when navigating faulty BRCA diagnoses, surgical menopause, and sudden hormone changes.
My Background & Credentials
I am Therapist with a Master of Arts degree and over 10 years of experience supporting women through life's most challenging transitions. I am also a Certified Menopause Coaching Specialist. I specialize in menopause including perimenopause, natural menopause, and surgical menopause as well as the unique emotional and psychological needs of women navigating a BRCA gene diagnosis & preventative surgeries.
But beyond my credentials, I bring something that no degree can teach. I have lived this. I understand what it feels like to sit across from a surgeon and weigh your options. I know what surgical menopause feels like from the inside. I know the particular grief of being a previvor, of making irreversible decisions to protect a future you hope to have.
When you work with me, you are not just working with a clinician. You are working with someone who truly gets it.
My goal is simple: to help you feel informed, emotionally prepared, and supported every step of the way.
